Erik von Schenck (MSc, MBA) – Chairman of the Board
Mr von Schenck has over 20 years of experience in start-ups, SME’s to larger international MedTech companies.
Mr von Schenck is Vice President and General Manager Circulatory solutions, Physio-control, now part of Stryker. Other Board assignments: Chairman of the board Avidicare AB, board member in a number of medtech companies. Experience of the medical technology field through earlier assignments as CEO for Jolife AB and Jostra AB as well as management positions in Gambro.
Charles Walther (MD, PhD) – Founder of the company/ Chief Medical Officer
Dr Walther is a senior consultant in pathology and clinical cytology at Skåne University hospital in Lund, Sweden. He is the inventor of the EndoDrill® instrument and other tumor biopsy devices. In clinical practice his main field is cytology and fine needle aspiration biopsies.
Dr Walther is a researcher and has performed his PhD in tumor genetics at the department of clinical genetics at Lund University. As a result of his clinical work and research projects he has developed new unique methods and instruments for cancer diagnostics. In 2012, Dr Walther won TV4’s nationwide inventor competition “Uppfinnarna” (“The Inventors”).
Stephan Dymling (MSc Engineering Physics, PhD) – Chief Technology Officer
Dr Dymling has held management positions in several high tech medical device companies in cancer care and other therapeutic areas, e.g. Siemens Life Support Systems (today part of Getinge), ProstaLund, SpectraCure, Medical Vision and Clinical Laserthermia System.
He has specialized in the development process for medical devices and also has a background as head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, University hospital in Lund. Capabilities in Product Development, Quality and Regulatory (PMA, 510k, CE registrations, set-up of pre-registration clinical studies), procurement, outsourcing of manufacturing and device development.
Bruno Walther (MD, PhD, Professor) – Chief Scientific Officer
Professor Walther is a seasoned surgeon at Skåne University hospital in Lund, Sweden. He is specialised in tumor surgery of the esophagus and stomach and was trained in esophageal surgery by late Professor David B. Skinner in Chicago.
Professor Walther has produced 153 surgical publications and 15 videos of different surgical procedures in the upper GI tract often featured in the American College of Surgeons annual congresses. Professor Walther is author of 16 chapters in surgical textbooks on the subject. He has supervised four surgeons to doctoral theses and been opponent in seven dissertations. He is member of the board of European Surgical Association (ESA) since 2010.
